my small act of kindness today:

My 20-year-old niece made a momentous decision to move 500 miles from her small-town family home to the huge, daunting city of Boston. She was afraid and excited at the same time.

She has an interest in photography, so to help her with the transition and maybe create some new opportunities for her, I gave her a subscription to lynda.com — an excellent resource for photography.
